What songs did you sing this sunday at your church?

Take a moment and comment back, lets see if the messages in the song, or the words in the song are parallel. It would be cool to see how connected we all are as worship leaders.

We Sang

You are Welcome in this Place - Hillsong

What do you see as your life goal? What do you wake up everyday with a hearts passion to pursue.

One key element to obtaining the promises of God, is to have a heart passion to pursue it. Its one of those things that you have a hold of and cant let go of.
When you begin to pursue that thing, it little by little begins to manifest itself.

Write out your vision -Habakkuk 2:2

2-3And then God answered: "Write this.
Write what you see.
Write it out in big block letters
so that it can be read on the run.
This vision-message is a witness
pointing to what's coming.
It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait!
And it doesn't lie.
If it seems slow in coming, wait.
It's on its way. It will come right on time.

Speak your faith, dont just believe it. - Proverbs 18:21

21 The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.

Continue pursuing it past the Strain - Philippians 3:12-14

12Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

For the ones that have just joined up, Lets talk a bit. I will use this post as a roll call, you can comment and put your information as well. Feel free to share whatever you feel will let us know more about you!

Name: Richard King
Age: 26
Location: Appleton, WI USA
Church: World Outreach Center, Milwaukee WI
Leading Worship: 7+ Years

About Me:

I am a little bit radical (as you can see in my personal blog) I wasnt always the best worship leader. I was raised in church so it was something that I just came to do. I went to church, sang, went home, and lived how I wanted to. That changed. God somehow took my life and made it a mess until I decided to clean up. So here I am again, but with a different heart.

I love music, I love God, I love worship.

My Favorite Artists:
- Hillsong
- Hillson United ** Yeah they rock**
- Israel and New Breed
- Kirk Franklin
- Jason Upton
- The Tribe (so ok, maybe that was a shameless plug about my group, but in all reality they are the BOMB)

My Favorite Scripture:
Isaiah 40:31

My Favorite Book:
Seizing You Divine Moment - Erwin Raphael McManus

My Favorite Speaker:
Pastors Melva and Ervin" Skip" Henderson (ok so thats two shameless plugs. But really my church is sooo great!!)

My Favorite Pasttime:
Singing in my basement with my keyboard. Watching Americas Next Top Model.

Random Fact:
I was born with blue eyes and a halo of blonde hair around my head ( I see why now)

This community is designed to unite worship leaders through song, experiences, and the Word of God. I am very glad that you chose to check us out on LiveJournal, and look forward to seeing your comments soon.

What we believe:

Every worship leader has a place to grow through this community, and it is not limited by ethnic background, musical style, denominations, age, or creed.

Every person that will come to Worship Leaders United will have an equal voice, and the right to share their experiences, and or opinions regarding comments and forums WITHOUT fear of judgement, unconstructive critizism, harassment, or any type of discrimination.

We believe in Jesus Christ, and His redeeming power, and through it, our song will affect the world that we live in.

We operate in the spirit of excellence, and disrespect will not be tolerated. All comments will be posted in a loving manner. Our goal is to build relationship with each other and NEVER to tear each other down.

What this community will do:

We Will discuss books and devotionals , with the intent to heighten our awareness of worship using the Word of God.

We Will discuss worship cds, and our personal testimonies of how they help us with worship leading.

We Will announce opportunities of meeting. Schedule events for worship leaders to connect as well as conferences that will help us to lead worship better.

For the First few Weeks:
If you have any thoughts about CD's, Devotionals, Activities feel free to email them to me at richardking@tribalworship.com.

Although I dont mind people posting independently, since we have just started, I would appreciate it to come from me so we can set a good standard for this community.
Eventually, (very soon) the community will be run by several moderators and will be a multi-forum community.

Until we meet again,

In His Love
